| Gelterkinden, municipal centre of Upper Baselbiet, is situated at the confluence of the Ergolz and Eibach rivers. The ideally preserved village square (illustrated) with its fountain and views of the church is a firm favourite with artists and photographers. In contrast, the "Im Berg" region is rated very highly by hikers. |
